The Women’s Domestic Violence Court Assistance Service provides free and confidential assistance to all women who attend Court for domestic and family violence matters. This service is available for women applying for or responding to a Domestic Violence Protection Order (DVPO).

Violence Prevention and Women's Advocacy Legal Service (Legal Aid Qld)
The Violence Prevention and Women's Advocacy Service is a specialist, multi-disciplined unit that provides responsive, sensitive and culturally appropriate legal advice, representation in domestic violence, child protection, family law, and other related matters, information on preventing domestic violence, and referrals to appropriate services. Our specialist unit also advocates for systemic change in promoting safer outcomes for women.

If English is your second language contact the Translating and Interpreting Service on 13 14 50 to speak to an interpreter and ask them to connect with Legal Aid Queensland.

Women’s Support Service
The Migrant Women's Emergency Support Service Inc, trading as Immigrant Women's Support Service (IWSS) is a feminist organisation committed to providing services that recognise and promote the rights of women of non-English speaking backgrounds (NESB) and their children in Queensland.
The Crisis Support Workers from the Domestic Violence Service and the Counsellor/Advocates from the Sexual Assault Service provide information, referral, crisis support, counselling, advocacy, court support and practical and emotional support to women of NESB and their children affected by domestic and/or sexual violence.
IWSS staff also undertake community education activities on issues relating to domestic and sexual violence with communities from NESB. IWSS also produces resources such as fact sheets and brochures in English and various community languages to assist both service providers and NESB communities.

The Brisbane Domestic Violence Service (BDVS) is a free and confidential service for people in the Brisbane Metropolitan area who are affected by domestic and family violence. The service supports women, children, family members, same sex couples, couples without children and others.
