Work Participation Issues for Single Parents Local Transport Transport is a major factor affecting access to work and study opportunities. Families need access to effective public transport or a car to get to work and study sites, as well as dropping children off at school or child care. Some state governments provide transport information on line.
Most states have concessional public transport fares for low income earners.
