Separated mothers’ interactions with Department of Human Services (Child Support)

Research Participants Wanted

Are you a woman who has had to interact with the Department of Human Services (Child Support) (the Child Support Agency)?

Kris would like to hear your story and use it in research aiming to improve the situation for women claiming child support.

Kris is interested in speaking to women who interact with the DHSCS around issues of child support.  Hearing about your experiences and outcomes when dealing with the DHSCS, and how those processes impacted on other areas of your life.  Kris is also interested in hearing your thoughts on how DHSCS processes can be improved to better meet the needs of women.

The study involves a confidential, one-on-one, in-depth interview. The interviews will last approximately one hour. We can interview you on the phone, by Skype, or if you live in Launceston, in a place that suits you.

The study is conducted by Dr Kristin Natalier, a researcher at the University of Tasmania. Kris studies women’s lives after separating from a partner.

If you are interested in participating, please contact Kris on or 03 63245045

Taking part in this study is voluntary. Your decision to participate or not will not impact upon your access to any services. No one at any service or organisation will know of your decision to participate or not participate in the study. We are not employed by any service to conduct this study.
